1. Which plan should I start with?
Start with Free to explore the platform, train a model, and confirm performance on your end. If you like the experience to get the full hands-free workflow, move up to Starter. The Starter plan should be good enough for most users but if you feel the need for more customization, the Pro license fits best.
2. What plan is best if budget isn’t a constraint?
We offer premium support to premium users. By purchasing a premium license we support you every step of your journey by offering tailor-made customization, training and further assistance as you need. After the purchase you will be contacted to set up your private VIP support channel.
3. What is the cloud storage?
To understand what exactly is the cloud storage, you need to first understand what a sample is. A sample is a recorded clip in which you said 1 or more words in it. These samples are the backbone of what would be used to train your custom model. The more samples you provide, the more accurate model you get. Even though you can never achieve 100% accuracy we were able to reach 99.9% accuracy in very high sample count models although we advertise for less to stay on the safe side.
All the sample you record when you start a "train" process will be uploaded to the cloud. The cloud storage is the maximum number of samples you are allowed to use to train a model. The higher this number the more accurate model you can get. Cloud storage also means you don't need to back up your recorded samples.
One note is that we do not save your raw voice but your sample features. This means if you need to keep access to your raw data you need to back up the raw voices yourself.
4. I thought BenASR doesn't need internet connection
For daily use, you don't need a constant internet connection, internet is only required for the first time to train a model as the training process happens in cloud. After that you only need to be online every now and then to verify the license or get the regular updates.
5. What is the train credit?
Each time you send a request to train a model from your recorded samples you consume 1 train credit. Train credits are allocated monthly.
6. Can I use the voice engine only and run my custom software on top of it?
Yes and we encourage you to do so. By purchasing the Pro license you get access to the engine's raw output through our RPC interface depending on the platform you use.
